Carrie Underwood and John Legend are ushering within the vacation season with a new Christmas song—and a music video to accompany it. 

The artists teamed up for “Hallelujah,” an unique track off Carrie’s very first Christmas album My Reward. The duo’s new video for the monitor options John crooning over a piano in a candlelit manor, with snow falling throughout. Carrie, in a silver, snowflake-inspired robe, sings beside him. 

The lyrics of the brand new track are filled with promise for the brand new 12 months. After a very difficult 2020 as a result of coronavirus pandemic, followers are certain to understand the hopeful message.

“Ooh, let thеre be peace on earth / Let the lonely be part of collectively, allow them to know their value / Ooh, let the youngsters know,” Carrie and John sing in unison. “There is a brighter day forward, let’s maintain on to hope / And on the coldest night on this December / Allow us to pray the spirit of affection will linger.”
